In our yearly summer exhibitions, you look at the world through Rembrandt’s eyes in about fifty etchings from the Rembrandt House Museum collection. In 2027 the focus will be on the women in Rembrandt’s art. In Rembrandt & Women you will discover how diverse the image of women is in his work: women and girls are reading, working, sleeping, making love, taking a stroll or posing for the artists as a figure from the Bible or mythology. In Rembrandt’s oeuvre you will find women from all ages and layers of society, including the women in his own life, such as his wife Saskia Uylenburgh and his mother Neeltgen Willemsdr van Zuytbroeck.
