Rembrandt Open Studio 2024

Autumn 2024

Rembrandt house was a creative breeding ground. Fact is that Rembrandt wasn’t the only one to work there. Many pupils also created works of art here; sometimes there were as many as four or five of them at a time. Now, almost 400 years later, we are bringing this back. A new generation of artists will get to work at Rembrandt House Museum during the Rembrandt Open Studio project. Over the course of two months, two contemporary artists will move their studios to the museum. This is where they will produce new works, inspired by Rembrandt’s work, his house, his neighbourhood and one another.

Come and see the process of creating contemporary art up close, and meet a new generation of talented creators. Previous participants in the Rembrandt Open Studio project: Iriée Zamblé and Timothy Voges (2020), Abul Hisham and Guy Vording (2023). The participating artists for 2024 will be announced this summer.
