In the autumn, two contemporary artists will set up their studios in the Rembrandt House Museum. With this, the museum returns to its core as an artist’s house. In the seventeenth century, Rembrandt and his pupils created art here every day. Now, 400 years later, we are bringing this practice back with Rembrandt Open Studio. Every autumn, a new generation of artists is given the space and the platform to create new work at Rembrandt’s home.
The two artists will be working in the exhibition room โ sometimes together, sometimes alternating. Meet the artists and see how art is made โ live in the museum.
The two participating artists of 2026 will be announced shortly.
Rembrandt Open Studio is made possible thanks to the support of the Gieskes Strijbis Fund.
