Rembrandt’s Masterclass
30 January – 25 May 2026
Rembrandt is one of the greatest artists ever. How did he achieve this? What was his secret? This exhibition focuses on Rembrandt's craftsmanship, his technique and his tactics. We reveal his best tips and tricks. Think, for example: touch people's hearts, constantly improve yourself and make sure you promote yourself well.
This is an exhibition where you can get involved yourself – as a family, a group, a duo or just on your own. Draw, puzzle, listen. And view extraordinary works of art, such as Rembrandt's eerie painting of Dr Deyman's anatomy lesson (on temporary loan to the Rembrandt House from the Amsterdam Museum). Whether you create artworks, bake cakes or design games, in this exhibition you will discover how you too can become the best, just like Rembrandt.
This exhibion will have and second edition in spring 2027.
Rembrandt & Life
June 12 – August 30
Rembrandt loved to observe people in all stages of life, from the very young to the elderly. He studied all their unique traits and then created powerful etchings based on his observations. In the summer exhibition, you will see life through Rembrandt’s eyes in about fifty etchings from the Rembrandt House Museum collection. He takes you from the cradle to the grave – and even beyond…
Every summer we have new exhibition with Rembrandts etchings and drawings on show.
